Cain is a beautiful Treeing Walker Coonhound approximately 2 years old and 70 lbs. He is altered, up to date on vaccinations, and is house and crate trained.  He appeared on someone’s doorstep and the owner could not be found, so we don’t have much history. He is very sweet, intelligent, and full of energy. He will do best in an active home (frequent walks) with a fenced yard where he can run. He does well with other animals and currently has 3 small dog friends as well as cat friends living with him. He is very playful, so another dog that is compatible with his ‘big’ fun is best. He occasionally has some possessive aggressive tendencies (growling related to food or space), but is doing it less through training. He walks well on a leash, but can be a puller without the proper equipment. He is currently enrolled in obedience class, knows basic commands, and is learning more. He learns quickly with positive reinforcement training.  He does well with kids, but we haven’t observed him around kids younger than elementary age. He loves to dismantle his stuffed animals, but he doesn’t eat the stuffing. He likes most toys and will play whenever you want. He has no special needs and doesn’t need medication. We haven’t experimented leaving him alone outside his crate, but suspect he could be mischievous.

Cain’s adoption fee is $250, and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad City Area.
